APPEARANCE
That of a very active,
intelligent and elegant-appearing dog, squarely built, well
proportioned, moving soundly and carrying himself proudly. Properly
clipped in the traditional fashion and carefully groomed, the Poodle has
about him an air of distinction and dignity peculiar to himself.
TEMPERAMENT

Characteristics
Distinguished by a special
type of clip for show activity and by a type of coat which does not
moult.
The Poodle
is classified as a companion dog, of harmonious appearance with the
characteristically wavy or corded coat clipped in the traditional
fashion.
The general impression is
that of an intelligent animal, always alert, active, harmoniously built,
elegant in appearance, and carrying himself proudly. The poodle has a
light, springy gait, which should never be stretched or far reaching.
His
faithfulness and willingness to learn and to be trained make the poodle
a particularly pleasant companion.
COLOUR
For the wool and "corded"
poodles; Black, brown, silver, white and apricot. The brown color should
have a strong tone, should be sufficiently dark, uniform in color and
warm. The silver color must be uniform. The apricot color must be
uniform.
SIZE
Dogs: Around 12-14 inches
Bitches: Around 11-13 inches
